Warning Against Lowering Suspension

An expert car mechanic has warned drivers about a popular motor modification that could damage your vehicle and lead to a huge repair bill. The mechanic says motorists should think twice about lowering the suspension of their vehicle. When you are too low and hit speed bumps or obstacles, things will start falling off your car as you hit them. Drivers often like to lower their car’s suspension to give it a sleeker appearance, slightly improve performance and better fuel economy. But the mechanic warned that lowering the suspension increases the risk of damage from potholes and speed bumps which could scrape the underside of the car. In some extreme cases, as the vehicle has less ground clearance it could cause the car to “bottom out,” where the car is beached on an uneven surface.
